About this Project

The increased use of Reverse Osmisis (RO) water means that the standard galvanised tanks that are generally used for storing potable water are experiencing accelerated degradation and rust. 

To prevent this, our client decided to coat the interior of this 13,000 gallon potable (drinking) water tank with ANSI / NSF approved polyurea when it was installed.

This brand new tank needed minimal preparation. Our team used a hand grinder to remove particulates from all the surfaces. 

This was followed by an acetone wipe down to remove oil and other contaminants.

All joints were then caulked, followed by the spray gun polyurea application to 100mils thickness.
